WHAT TO EXPECT ON YOUR FIRST VISIT TO BETHEL
(Sunday Morning Worship 11am)
When you arrive at Bethel Presbyterian Church, the first thing you will notice is the beautiful, historic white church and vast grounds.
The congregation of Bethel was organized in 1812, so you will be one of many to worship with this long-line of Christians.
As you enter the sanctuary (the large building with columns), you will be greeted by an usher and given a bulletin to follow the morning program and order of worship. The usher will lead you into the nave and you may choose where you would like to sit.
You will experience a Christian Worship Service rooted in tradition and Bible-based teachings.
We integrate older hymns and newer songs of praise during our hour-long service.
11:00am Sunday Morning Worship is held in the Sanctuary.
The 1st Sunday of each month (except December & January)
our "casual" Morning Worship service is held in the Fellowship Hall.
Morning refreshments, coffee and juice are served on 1st Sunday from
10:30am to 11:00am.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Come as you are! At Bethel you will see a little bit of every style of clothing - some prefer to dress up and others prefer casual clothing. (Definitely, casual on 1st Sunday).
WHAT ABOUT MY CHILDREN?
Bethel is a church for the entire family. We welcome children in worship. We also know that kids need engagement. Please help yourself to a kid's activity bag (marked GUEST) hanging in the front entryway of the sanctuary when you arrive. Childcare, for infants - pre-K, will be provided for our families who choose that option. Speak to the usher for nursery care, please.
WHAT ABOUT SUNDAY SCHOOL?
We offer Adult & Children's Sunday School classes beginning at 9:45am - 10:30am each Sunday morning all year in the Education Building. You may start attending Sunday School anytime during the year.
